SDOE = FRAUDS?
Part One.
SDOE is the name of an authority in Greece dealing with economic/financial crimes.

In order to exists such sonorous title as you would understand my indignation should be really great.
Let us begin: One beautiful morning! on 3 June 2003 some people from SDOE came in my office where which I'm sharing with my brother in Naoysis 87 street  on Eyosmos Thessaloniki.
They served me a fairy tale that (as they say) I use my personal web page in order other people play lucky games in shops, and that the previous day (night) they had confiscated computers from "internet cafe" on the other end of city.
I ask what page?
My personal page was (and still is): http://users.forthnet.gr/the/jtokas/index.htm (page no longer active)
They answer "Not this. The page: " http://users.forthnet.gr/the/jtokas/virtuagamesnetwork/VirtuaGamesNetwork1.htm
The link is not valid in this address because it has changed to: http://users.forthnet.gr/the/jtokas/virtuagamesnetwork123/VirtuaGamesNetwork1.htm (page no longer active).
The name only of the subfolder was renamed but ALL the CONTENT remained the same.
To prove it very simply from the above link you just erase: VirtuaGamesNetwork1.htm and you will see the list of files with their date of creation (when they were placed in site that is to say 1 April 2003).
To me they say that what they saw (the system) it worked up to some hour and afterwards stopped working and also that at their opinion I was notified and changed the page.
I laughed out loud and I showed them the dates of files and told them that if I made any HACKING in order to change anything the ISP (forthnet) would have noticed, not to mention that they could confirm it also from forthnet itself.
If you tried to remove last part from the second link, do same and in first.
You will end up on the SAME page and will see NO list of files. This means that it was a test page with links that did not refer to a valid destination, that declared from the start.
To me they said that they will take the PC's that I'm working with (2 in number) for forensics and I almost got a stroke.
All my work (20 years) were stored inside the one of them.
I uselessly protested but I warned them that certain tools here I'm using to do my work, they can be also used with other way thus and there will be used if anything was destroyed from my work stored inside.
Except that with the one of those PC's I issued invoices and needed the data that it had inside.
They say that they let me for 2 hours to take "backup".
Calculate:
1. 3 hard disks with total capacity roughly the 500GB.
2. Copies in hard disks were not available. The cost was too big in order to I spares of hard drives at the time. Therefore CD's are used. Take into consideration your that the nominal higher write speed at that time was 16X therefore in real conditions IF a CD were written succesfully (failures roughly 1 in the 3 at that time) the time needed was between 15 to 20 minutes.
What kind of "backup" I took therefore in two hours?
They disconnected my computers from screen, keyboard etc and WITHOUT SEAL THEM, OR PUT THEM IN CLOSED BOXES OF ANY KIND  they took them. I followed them at their offices in Kalohori Thessaloniki and there in a office that they had for deposit they showed  me many computers and they told me that those were  confiscated the previous day from the "internet cafe".
A lot of computers, screens, keyboards, mice, cables all there stacked.
Information on the days followed  informed me that only the mains power sockets and the furnitures they did confiscated, rather because the first category were on the wall and the other because they were too heavy and bulky for their likes.
AND THAT MEANS: ALL THAT WAS NEEDED IN ORDER TO FUNCTION A LOCAL NETWORK OF COMPUTERS IT WAS IN THEIR DEPOSIT AND IN ORDER TO BE CONNECTED (THE HOLE SYSTEM) ON THE INTERNET WAS ONLY AN ISDN SOCKET AND LINE. ALSO AS I DESCRIBED WHATEVER WAS CONNECTED IN THESE COMPUTERS WAS GATHERED BY THEM.
By the way the name they served me was COMPLETELY unknown and did not exist never in any customer list so much mine or my brother's and have in mind that:
1. From 1988 and afterwards ME AND MY BROTHER WE ARE the ONLY GREEK TECHNICIANS  - REPAIRERS of the digital part (PCB) of Coin Operated games.
2. In the Association of Constructors - Merchands of Electronic games of Nothern Greece my brother - as long as it was active the association - he was cashier for the association and myself chairman of Controlling Committee, this name was also unknown.
I testify that I do not know the individual in question, and that certain files and especially the file "Browser" that appearred to function in one from the computers that took from the deposit and put in operation in front me LOOKED LIKE an application that I made before little time, as well and whatever functionality of programs and the hole system they described generally POSSIBLY COULD BE EXISTED but not as a result of my own design and development, thus evolving of thatparticular application had stopped because voids of safety of operating system (Windows98) at that time could not overcome.
Give attention in the last two underlined phrases in red color, it has importance in the continuity of the story.
We agree I come back the next day with hard disks in order to I take copies of my disks, but because they did not delivered by my suppliers in time the next day, I get back again the day after tomorrow.
Important it is also also what I declare as object of work. This is:
Digital Systems Hardware - Software. Manufacture Repair Sale PC - Manufacture of SOFTWARE.
What existed in the computers that I took THEY WAS EXTREMELY VITAL IN ORDER TO I CONTINUE MY ACTIVITY.
If you ask if they had that information  the answer is that in the papers that were signed by my with regard to what "they committed" from my space, apart from my signature, existed also the seal of enterprise that declared all those EVIDENTLY.
Naturally "they committed" not only 2 computers.
"They committed" various papers that we had here (even notes on repairs) and CD's that existed scattered in the space and they were of thair liking.
The history continues on the following day. Tie up HERE.
